ClickBank is the entry door: open sign-up, a broad catalog and a percentage commission. MaxWeb is the next step: the application asks for your traffic channels and two industry references, the offers are the network's own — almost all supplements with a VSL — and the commission is a fixed amount per sale. With no track record, start on ClickBank; with results and industry contacts, MaxWeb comes into play.

The question that stalls the first campaign
Affiliates deciding to sell to the US spend days comparing networks instead of running ads. The choice is simpler than it looks, because the two don't compete for the same moment: one welcomes beginners; the other asks you to have some mileage already.
How do MaxWeb and ClickBank compare?
Entry
ClickBank: free, open sign-up; you pick a product, click Promote and get your link (HopLink). MaxWeb: a two-step application with traffic channels, monthly volume and two industry references; after that, each offer is either available right away (Promote) or needs approval (Apply to promote).
Catalog and commission
ClickBank: a marketplace of many vendors, mostly digital products, with percentage commissions. MaxWeb: 300+ in-house offers, almost all health supplements sold through VSLs, with a fixed payout per sale (CPA).

Payouts
ClickBank: weekly or every other week, on Fridays, by direct deposit, wire or check, no PayPal; the first payout needs your account threshold ($100 by default) and 5 sales with at least 2 payment methods. MaxWeb: every Wednesday, and more often each week from $15,000 a month, by Payoneer, PayPal, wire or ACH, from $100; the first payout needs 5 unique purchases per offer and a first commission more than 30 days old — details in how to get paid by MaxWeb.
Both hold the first payout until they see sales from different customers. It protects against affiliates buying through their own link — and only applies to releasing the first payout.
Which one should you choose?
- No track record or industry contacts: start on ClickBank — entry is open and your first sales build your mileage.
- Already selling and have people who can vouch for you: apply to MaxWeb with two references and your traffic channels.
- Prefer knowing the exact value of each sale: MaxWeb's fixed CPA makes ad math simple.
- Already on both: choose by offer — what matters is what it pays and whether it converts with your traffic.
On both, Google Ads advertisers need a page on their own domain before the sales page and a way to see every sale flow back to their ad platform. See how to sell MaxWeb on Google Ads and the how to sell ClickBank on Google Ads.
