Connecting AdsX to Google Ads takes a few clicks: you open Google Accounts, click Add Google Account, authorize the account with Google, and then activate metrics for your dashboard. It's a one-time connection — and it's what unlocks automatic campaign creation, daily metrics tracking, and sending sales back to Google. This guide walks you through the full step-by-step.
Connecting a Google account is a prerequisite for any tool that works with Google Ads — it's not an AdsX rule, it's how Google works: your account's authorization is what allows creating campaigns, reading metrics, and recording conversions on your behalf.
What the Google Ads connection unlocks in AdsX
Once connected, your Google account becomes the bridge between AdsX and your Google Ads operation:
- Automatic campaign creation with AdsCreator, straight into your sub-account
- Daily campaign metrics on the dashboard, account by account
- Sending sales back to Google Ads (Escala Max plan), via AdsTracking
- Real-time keyword data, such as CPC and search volume

Step 1: connect your Google account
Everything happens on the Google Accounts screen, in the left sidebar of AdsX:
- In the left menu, click Google Accounts
- Click the Add Google Account button in the center of the screen
- In the Google window, choose the account you use with Google Ads — Google may ask for your password or a verification code, that's its normal security
- Click Continue, scroll to the bottom, and click Continue again
- Wait for validation: your email appears connected, with your Google Ads accounts and sub-accounts listed below, each with its status (active or suspended)
Step 2: activate Google Ads metrics
With the account connected, you activate the daily delivery of metrics to your dashboard:
- On your account's row, click Activate Google Ads metrics (the bar-chart icon)
- Sign in to Google again if prompted
- Click Open authorization — a Google tab opens; select the same email and click Allow
- At the end, copy the address (URL) shown in the top bar of the Google page
- Go back to AdsX, paste the address into the indicated field, and click Activate — done in seconds
Sub-accounts didn't show up after connecting? It's usually a momentary connection hiccup. Delete the connection on the same screen and click Add Google Account again — this doesn't touch your Google account at all, it's just the link to AdsX. And if you created a new Google Ads account after connecting, it won't appear on its own: click the reload button on the Google Accounts screen and AdsX fetches the new accounts.
Where to see the results
From activation on, Google sends a daily summary of the previous day's metrics, and they show up on your dashboard. The history builds over time: each day adds one more day of data, and within a few weeks you can see which account and which campaign are performing best — without opening Google Ads to find out.
Connect once, use everywhere: the same authorization lets AdsCreator build campaigns, the dashboard receive metrics daily, and AdsTracking send conversions — no reconnecting for each tool.
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need a Google Ads account before connecting?
Yes. AdsX lists the Google Ads accounts and sub-accounts that exist under the Google account you authorized. If you don't have one yet, create your Google Ads account first and then connect.
Does the connection give AdsX access to my whole Google account?
No. The authorization is limited to Google Ads and basic account identification (email and profile) — that's what Google's permission screen shows when you connect. You can revoke access at any time in your Google account settings.
Google asked for a Passkey and I couldn't sign in. Now what?
The Passkey verification comes from Google itself. On that screen, click "Try another way" and sign in with your password; to fix it for good, turn off "Skip password when possible" in your account's security settings. The full step-by-step is in our article about the Passkey prompt at Google sign-in here on the blog.
Can I connect more than one Google account?
Yes. Each connected Google email shows up as its own connection on the Google Accounts screen, with its respective Google Ads accounts and sub-accounts — and metrics can be activated account by account.
